I am a Psychologist with an independent psychotherapy practice located in Chapel Hill. I began my private practice in 2015 after working for the Durham VA Medical Center for four years. You can learn more about my private practice work on this webpage. I currently live in Durham with my husband and our two girls, ages 10 and 7.
I first encountered mindfulness and breath work as a means for managing stress during graduate school. As I progressed through my clinical training, my interests gravitated towards psychotherapy methods that included mindfulness as a component of the interventions. Since then, I’ve completed the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course at Duke Integrative Medicine and I am currently pursuing the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program (MMTCP) offered by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. I have also been a member of the Mindful Families of Durham community for the last 6 years, and currently serve on their member care committee. I’ve been enjoying being a part of the Triangle Insight community since March of 2023.
